Welcome to Sacoddo. We attach paramount importance to the protection of your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and our website. By using Sacoddo, you accept the practices described in this policy.

1. Legal Framework and Data Controller

Sacoddo processes personal data in strict compliance with Algerian Law No. 18-07 relating to the protection of physical persons in the processing of personal data.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect data that is strictly necessary to provide our matchmaking services (accommodation/activities), for the operation of our integrated social network, and for the improvement of our platform.

A. Information you provide directly to us:

• Authentication: Phone number (verified by SMS OTP during registration and login), email address (login, service communications, account recovery).
• Public Profile: Last name, First name, pseudonym, profile picture, personal description.
• Listings (Host): When adding a listing, the Host must obligatorily provide the exact address and geolocation of the accommodation or activity location. This data is indispensable to allow Travelers to visualize the location on a map (Maps) and travel there. Photos and descriptions of the property.
• Integrated Social Network (User-Generated Content - UGC):
  • Published Content: Posts (texts, photos, videos) that you share on your wall or in groups.
  • Interactions: "Like" mentions, comments, shares, subscriptions to other members.
  • Communications: Private messages exchanged via the application's internal chat.

B. Information collected automatically:

• User Geolocation: Sacoddo does not collect real-time geolocation (GPS) of the user's device (Traveler). We only use the location of the accommodations provided by the Hosts.
• Device Information and Usage Data: For security, optimization, troubleshooting, and fraud prevention (e.g., unique device identifiers, crash data).
• Analytics and Advertising Tools: We use third parties to analyze usage and measure advertising effectiveness:
  • Google Analytics: Anonymized data on interactions with the application.
  • Pixel (Facebook/Meta): Measurement of marketing performance on Meta platforms.
  • These tools use cookies and mobile advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS).

C. Payment Information (Transaction Security):

• Sacoddo does not store your credit card information (CIB, Dahabia, Visa, Mastercard) on its servers. Digital transactions are processed securely directly by our certified payment partners:
  • SATIM: For payments in Algerian Dinars (DZD).
  • Stripe: For payments in converted currencies.
  • We only receive a transaction confirmation from these gateways.

3. Why and How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data solely for Sacoddo's needs:

• Service Provision: Manage accounts, process bookings, display listings on the map, facilitate communication via internal chat.
• Social Network: Publish your content, manage your interactions and subscriptions, allow private messaging.
• Security and Moderation (UGC): Review reports of inappropriate content (Section 9.1 of the T&Cs) and apply blocking/deletion measures to guarantee platform security.
• Analytics and Improvement (Google Analytics): Fix bugs, optimize the application, and improve features.
• Advertising Measurement (Pixel): Evaluate and improve the performance of our marketing campaigns.

We do not sell or share your personally identifiable information (Name, phone, email) with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share your data only in the following cases, necessary for Sacoddo's operation:

• Profile Publicity: Your posts, comments, likes, pseudonym, and profile picture are visible to other members of the integrated social network.
• Between Members (Booking): When a booking is confirmed, we share the name, phone number, and exact address of the accommodation/activity between the Host and the Traveler concerned to facilitate arrival.
• Service Providers (Subcontractors): For technical services (SMS OTP, secure SATIM/Stripe payments, data hosting). They only have access to strictly necessary data and are required to protect it.
• Analytics and Advertising Partners: Anonymized and aggregated data shared with Google and Meta (Facebook) via their integrated tools.
• Legal Obligations: When required by law.

5. Security and Technical Data Hosting

In order to ensure the security, performance, and technical reliability of the Sacoddo platform, as well as to process secure payments via Stripe, we use hosting infrastructures and third-party service providers whose data centers are certified compliant with security standards. For audience analysis and application improvement, anonymized usage data is processed via Google Analytics.

6. Your Rights and Your Choices

In accordance with the Law, you have the following rights:

• Access, rectification, and deletion of content: You can modify your profile and delete your own posts directly from the application.
• Choice of advertising tracking:
  • On iOS (Apple): Sacoddo integrates and respects the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. The application will explicitly ask you for advertising tracking permission via a system pop-up upon first use. You can change this choice at any time. If you refuse, the Pixel (Facebook) will not collect your tracking data on iOS.
• Account suspension and definitive deletion: You have the right to manage the future of your account directly from the application via the menu: Account Status:
  • Temporary Suspension: To hide your profile and your listings, while retaining your data for future reactivation.
  • Definitive Deletion: To irreversibly erase your personal data (Name, phone, documents, published content).
  • Reservation: If you have an ongoing booking (Host or Traveler), definitive deletion will only be finalized after the end of the service and the settlement of all transactions (Section 2.8 of the T&Cs).

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for the time necessary to provide Sacoddo services, comply with our legal obligations (notably tax obligations for invoices), and resolve disputes.

8. Children's Privacy

Sacoddo is not intended for children under 18 (Section 2.1 of the T&Cs). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

9. Modifications to this Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be signaled via the application or by email, and the "Last updated" date will be modified.
